Born on March 10, 1996, in Arlington, Texas, Cameron was a true Texan through and through—warm, kind, and with an infectious enthusiasm for life. Whether he was playing sports in the local parks, helping his parents with tasks at home, or spending time with friends, Cameron’s presence was always uplifting. He had a bright smile that could light up any room, and a laugh that could bring joy to even the darkest days. Cameron attended Arlington High School, where he was known for his athletic ability and love of music. He played on the football team and was also involved in the school’s choir, where he made lifelong friendships. His teachers often remarked on his dedication and his ability to inspire others with his creativity, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
After graduation, he went on to study at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he pursued a degree in business. Cameron’s passion for learning and his drive to succeed were evident in everything he did. His plans were always big, and he approached every endeavor with the same enthusiasm that had marked his life. In addition to his academic and professional aspirations, Cameron had a deep love for his family and friends. He was a devoted son to his parents, Mark and Julia Hines, who were his greatest supporters throughout his life.
He took immense pride in being a brother to his younger sister, Emily, with whom he shared a special bond. Cameron was the type of person who would go out of his way to make others feel loved and valued. He had a genuine compassion for those around him, and his friendships were built on trust, loyalty, and shared experiences. His close-knit circle of friends often spoke of his selflessness and his unwavering support for them, no matter the circumstances.
Outside of his academic and personal life, Cameron had a variety of interests that kept him engaged. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hiker, frequently exploring the many trails and parks near Arlington. His love of nature was matched only by his passion for animals, particularly dogs. Cameron was the proud owner of a golden retriever named Scout, who was always by his side. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Thompson, and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Hines. While Cameron’s physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Arlington Memorial Chapel. A reception will follow at the Hines family home, where friends and family are invited to share their memories and stories. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Cameron’s name to the Arlington Community Foundation, an organization he passionately supported.
