She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Hoover, who passed away in 2020. A memorial service to celebrate Kari’s life will be held on December 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. In honor of Kari’s love for teaching, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Wake County Public Schools Foundation to support educational initiatives and scholarships for students in need. We offer our deepest condolences to Kari’s family, friends, colleagues, and students.
